A Number Of Eighteen(18) Students From Asante Akyem Central Have Been Awarded The Local Scholarship.

Eighteen (18) students’ (from Asante Akyem Central) names have been captured on the second batch paid beneficiaries of local scholarship’s list for the 2020/2021 academic year.

This was revealed to a reporter for legacy news after he engaged one coordinator for the Scholarship Secretariat with a phone call.

Reports gathered indicates that, twelve (12) students’names were captured on the first paid batch list. The remaining applicants then, were informed to keep calm as their scholarship appointment awaits them.

In almost all the tertiary institutions across the country, the first semester of the 2020/2021 academic year has come to an end. Yet no assurance came from the Scholarship Secretariat as to whether the remaining applicants for the scholarship would be awarded with the local scholarship or not. This led the remaining applicants to speculate about their scholarship appointment.

In response to the speculations that were expressed by numerous tertiary students across the country, many radio and television stations began to query the registrar( Kingsley Agyemang) of the Scholarship Secretariat on what has caused the delay of the scholarship. As a result, assurance came from the office of the Scholarship Secretariat, that a list of second batch paid beneficiaries would be out very soon.

Fortunately, eighteen (18) students from Asante Akyem Central have been awarded with the local scholarship for the 2020/2021 academic year. Although the second batch paid beneficiaries list is out now, the date for the release of the remaining scholarship applicants remains unknown.

Beneficiaries whose names were recorded on the second batch list would be notified very soon.
