As social studies is seen as an integrated subject, it is therefore necessary to look at social studies in those fields.
Examination Format
It is believed the section B will come with three (3) questions of which students are to answer only one. Each question carry 30marks. Which means, the Section B will be of 30 questions.
Explain clearly the following traditions in geography:
(a) Area Studies
(b) Earth Science
(c) Human-Land
2. Explain the integrated nature of social studies, and describe one approach by which
integration can be achieved in a social studies curriculum.
3. Discuss three objections that have been raised against the application of Gelstalt principles in the teaching and learning of social studies, pointing out how justified or unjustified those objections are.
Trainees should carefully look at “Social Studies as Economics”. Equally, you can be looking at the educational implications of the Gestalt theory.
