Ghanaians reacts on a possible increment of a bag of cement from its current price to Ghc 55.
According to Joy Business, the 50kg cement price is likely to increase from Ghc 45 to Ghc 55 next year. More likely, the same bag of cement will cost people in Accra Ghc 60.
In reacting to the news, a man by name Michael says he won’t be surprise if a bag of cement will cost him Ghc 100 by the time he starts building.
It is therefore suggested that, the increment of the price is as a result of the depreciation of the cedis against the U.S dollars, the constant increase of transportation (fares) and the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Increment of cement prices will therefore make rent expensive and will also increase the budget of people who wants to start building.
